New Construction Painting in Raleigh & the Sandhills

First coats on new builds and additions — primer, walls, ceilings and trim done before the floors go in, exactly like the photos on this site — in Raleigh and all around it.

A new house gets painted before it looks like a house anyone lives in. The floors are still covered in paper and plastic, the trim is fresh off the truck, and every wall is bare drywall waiting on its first coat of color — that is the stage Alexis works in most, and it's exactly what the photos on this site show: gray walls going up, white trim and doors going in, stairwells and vaulted rooms getting their first coats before anything else moves into the house. This is different from painting a home that people already live in — there is no furniture to move and no family schedule to work around, but there is also no margin for a sloppy line, since every wall is being seen and judged for the first time at the final walk-through.

New construction painting moves at the builder's pace, not a homeowner's — a room finished, then the next, primer and walls and ceilings and trim done in order so the crew behind him can keep working. Send a photo of the framed rooms or the finished drywall by WhatsApp for a no-obligation quote, and Alexis will tell you what the house needs before he shows up with a ladder. English-speaking customers can write in English; the page you're reading works in both languages.

What's included

Work starts once the walls are ready for paint and the floors are still bare or covered for protection. Alexis primes the drywall first, then coats the walls and ceilings, cutting in along the ceiling line and into every corner before rolling the flat areas. Vaulted living rooms, tall foyers and stairwells take longer, since reaching the top of a full-height wall means working carefully off a ladder instead of standing on the floor. Kitchens and open living areas get painted before the rest of the house moves in behind them, with the same care around outlets, switches and window frames as any finished room. Trim, doors and any wainscoting get primed and finished in white once the wall color is on, so the contrast between the wall and the trim is sharp from the first walk-through. Floors stay covered in paper, plastic and tape through the whole job, the same way they're covered in every photo on this site, so nothing gets marked before the flooring crew ever shows up.

How we work

Send a photo

Send Alexis a photo of the framed rooms or the finished drywall by WhatsApp so he can see what the house needs.

No-obligation quote

Alexis looks at the house and the schedule, then gives a no-obligation quote by WhatsApp at (472) 234-2975.

Painting the new build

Walls and ceilings get primed and coated room by room, then trim, doors and any wainscoting get finished in white.

Walk through

Once every room is painted, Alexis walks the house with you to check the coverage before the floors go in.

New Construction Painting by city

A new build in Raleigh, a repaint in Cary, a patched wall in Durham and a weathered exterior in Fayetteville each need a different plan — and we handle all of them.

Common questions

Do you work directly with builders, or only with homeowners?
Both. Alexis paints new builds for builders and for homeowners finishing an addition, working on the same schedule either way.
My floors aren't in yet — does that matter?
No. Painting happens before the floors go in, and the floors stay covered in paper and plastic the whole time, just like every photo on this site.
